We went on an adults only bourbon trail trip for our friends 35th birthday and had such a great time! We were in Louisville from a Thursday to Sunday so it was a quick trip but totally worth it! Louisville was a great home base but it was important to plan the route/tastings for each day to make the most of your day. Below I’m going to give you the details of where we went and what we loved….and didn’t love.

Dining:
Agave and Rye: We ate here, and loved the vibe! Indoor and outdoor seating and amazing tacos and margs! Agave & Rye: Epic Tacos & Margaritas Await
Bardstown Bourbon Company-This was a great stop after some bourbon tasting! It was semi-fancy so dress a little nicer than casual and make sure you make a reservation ahead of time: The Bardstown Bourbon Company – Nowhere We Won’t Go
Other options we looked up but did not eat at: Fork and Barrel, Bourbons Bistro, Noche Mexican BBQ
Lodging Options:
There are lots of great options for lodging in Louisville! We stayed at an Airbnb and while the house was great, it wasn’t in a great neighborhood.

Activities Besides Bourbon Tasting:
-Walk/Run on the Big Four Bridge: Beautiful bridge that a lot of walkers and runners use daily!
-Wineries-we went to several and didn’t like the wine but still might be worth trying! The views were great.
-Golf at Vettiner golf course: Charlie Vettiner Golf Course – Louisville Parks and Recreation
